"We have been using the Matrix One Talent Management Framework for a number of years now and have found it has transformed the quality of discussions and decisions around people in our organization. The framework precedes our performance reviews and acts as validation to ratings, is a crucial tool in our remuneration and development decisions and gives us great insight into shaping our employment brand proposition. The EVP tool has had a significant impact on our ability to engage and retain our talent and added to our employment offering"

"We have been utilising the processes and services of MatrixOne for just over a year and it has given us huge leaps in the management of our key talent. The process to determine the high potentials and manage risk is simple and very effective. The discussions around how to retain the key people are absolutely essential and using tools such as EVP has made this a lot easier for our senior management team to reach consensus on where we need to target our efforts.
We will continue to use both the talent management and EVP processes to help in this difficult area because they are simple, logical and easily engage all involved. The risks of losing key talent today are too high not to do this and after looking at several competing offerings we are really happy we decided to go down the Matrixone path. "

"SPARC engaged Matrixone to assist them in building HR capability across the sport and recreation sector. Mark and his team conducted an organisational audit and provided recommendations to increase skills and knowledge. Working with the CEO's and Boards, the work was based on driving employee engagement and satisfaction. The Matrixone tools such as the EVP and 360 products provided exact and meaningful results".

"We have engaged Matrixone to run the EVP tool for our senior leaders and talent staff. The EVP tool has provided our business with a simple and effective basis for identifying what our senior/talent employees want from the employment relationship and for holding meaningful discussions to address and/or deliver on expectations. The impact of the EVP tool on our business, the feedback from the employees involved has been very positive. Throughout the process Matrixone has constantly provided us with excellent service and support."

"We have a system of quarterly reviews covering a range of topics with each individual consultant. When we carried out the EVP programme we were presented with far more information which we used as a foundation to have more meaningful conversations. The outcome was that we were able to identify those who needed more attention and as a result we were able to get more tenure from them in a truly beneficial way for both parties". The other aspect of EVP that we valued was the ease of use and interpretation.

"We used the Matrixone EVP talent retention product with our top talent and critical position holders immediately prior to restructuring. As a result, we were successfully able to engage and retain these people both during and post the restructuring when we would have normally have expected some attrition of these key people during the change process"

"Recently NZ Police won 2 major awards in recognition of the Organisation Development work they are doing, particularly in relation to the development of a leadership and management development framework, succession planning and capability development. They won the:
o 2007/08 HRINZ State Services Commission Public Sector Award for their Leadership and Management Development Framework; and
o 2007/08 IPANZ State Services Commission Award for excellence in People Capability development.
One of the major tools Police have used in their development of individuals for succession planning and capability development is the Matrixone 360 degree survey and the Matrixone employee value proposition (EVP). Using these tools has given Managers and members of NZ Police a unique understanding of individual development requirements through:
o members receiving feedback from a specifically designed 360 survey tool using the expected behaviours identified in the core values and core competencies as the basis for questions, and
o Managers receiving feedback using the EVP which enables members to have their say about what is important to them in relation to their individual development and how well they think Police is achieving this.
The results from the 360 and the EVP give an opportunity for staff to be challenged to become role models and develop as leaders in their work place. Emerging leaders are encouraged to set career goals, to build a leadership development 'toolbox' and to understand the value of their contribution to the organisation. Developing leaders are encouraged to review and increase their leadership capability and initiate continuous improvement in their workplace. Senior leaders consider their leadership in an organisational context, to be more strategically focussed and to champion organisational development and change.
The success of the leadership and management development framework is measured through a robust evaluative process and the results so far are very positive. Members reported seeing substantial improvements in how NZ Police "does" leadership and the employee perception of "Career development" has improved by over 20%. These excellent results to date can be directly attributed to the impact the Matrixone programmes have had on developing and growing individual talent and future leaders within NZ Police.
I would support and recommend any organisation who is seeking to genuinely make an investment in developing their people to consider using the Matrixone toolbox."

"We rolled out the Matrixone EVP talent engagement and retention process across the three major operating divisions of our organisation in 2006. The program has been instrumental in enabling us to get closer to our key people; to understand their key HR issues; and assisting us in the formulation of strategies to retain key staff.
Over the two year period that we have been using EVP, there has been sharp reduction in staff turnover within our group, despite a very competitive labour market over the same period. We have not lost any of our key people and this has represented a major saving to our business in terms of productivity and client retention. It has also had the added bonus of identifying under-performing employees and establishing situations where the best use of talent lay in different locations.
This has enabled us to replace certain staff with more like minded individuals.
In closing I would say that the Matrixone EVP has made a significant contribution to the reinforcement of our corporate culture and the effective utilization of our organisation's greatest resource, our people."
